The alligator clips (used for small bows or clippies) can be partially lined (leaving the back of the clip metal showing) or fully lined. You just have to let me know of your preference.
Sometimes, depending on the type of hair, it can be held better with a partially lined clip, but if you have a young child it may be good to have a fully lined clip as a safety precaution (so that the sharp metal tip is not showing).You should never leave your child unattended with any hair accesory.
